The Indonesia
Urban Water Sanitation and Hygiene (IUWASH) project is a sixty-month program
(2011 – 2016) funded by the United States Agency for International Development
(USAID) and implemented under the leadership of DAI. IUWASH works with
government, the private sector, NGOs, community groups and other stakeholders
to improve access to safe water supply and sanitation in Indonesia’s urban
areas. The overall goal of IUWASH is to assist the Government of Indonesia
(GOI) in making significant progress in achieving its safe water and sanitation
Millennium Development Goal (MDG) targets by expanding access to these
services.
To achieve the
above, assistance provided by the project is divided under three main technical
components, including:
- Mobilizing demand for WatSan service delivery;
- Improving and expanding capacity for WatSan service delivery; and
- Strengthening policy and the financial enabling environment for improved water supply and sanitation service delivery.
IUWASH will apply
different approaches and interventions with its local partners, such as local
Water utilities, local and national government institutions, NGOs and
communities to address water, sanitation and hygiene. To achieve these
objectives IUWASH need high caliber incumbent to fill the positions of
Regional Project
Accountant, based in Jakarta. Job Code: RPA-WJDB/JKT
The
Regional Project Accountant will manage West Java, DKI and
Banten (WJDB) transactions related to IUWASH project. S/he will ensure that the
outlined financial policies and procedures are implemented and followed in the
assigned area. The Regional
Project Accountant is responsible for providing
complete and accurate field reports to the Jakarta Office for field office
financial activities. S/he will provide support in other finance areas as
necessary and maintain a positive working relationship with IUWASH project
staff.
Tasks
Accounting
· Understand the chart of
accounts and ensure that field costs are coded correctly.
· Provide complete and accurate
financial reports on a regular basis.
· Review and send field reports
to the Jakarta Office in a timely manner.
· Complete the Field Data
Processing Request (FDPR) form, which summarizes cash movements and total
expenditure costs for the FERs and submit to Jakarta Office
· Ensure timely transfers of
cash to and financial reporting from IUWASH field offices to IUWASH Jakarta.
· Complete bank reconciliations
in accordance with the schedule.
Financial Management
· Oversee budgeting processes in
the region,
· Collaborate closely with
component technical staff and administration department for tracking accruals,
commitments, upcoming expenses and budgetary inputs and changes.
· Track field costs to ensure
that the field office costs do not run over budget.
· Manage cash availability in
local bank accounts and request wire transfer from Jakarta office
As part of the Grants
Management Task Force, assist on the reviewing grant financial report from the
grantee and coordinate closely with Procurement and Grant Assistant and Grant
Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
·
Diploma
or Bachelor degree in Accounting with at least 3 years’ experience in applicable
field.
·
Good
computer skills in Microsoft Excel a must.
·
Good
communication skills both in English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and verbal.
·
Some
experience with USAID programs/projects highly desirable.
