Save the Children Vacancy: Social Media Coordinator, Jakarta

Save the Children is an international NGO and the world’s top independent charity for children in need. Since 1919, we have been fighting for children’s rights, saving their lives and providing hope for brighter futures worldwide.  In Indonesia, Save the Children currently works in eleven provinces, has staff of approximately 195 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.  Save the Children in Indonesia is seeking to fill the following position:


SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
1 position, based in Jakarta

Role purpose:
To inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and in line with our theory of change, Save the Children aims to be a credible and powerful voice for children; because of this and in support of the marketing/fundraising element of our strategy, we know that communication and media outreach is critical to Save the Children success.

The Social Media Coordinator will work with the Advocacy and Campaign Manager on the communication work of the Indonesia Country Office and will support the team all aspect in doing communication campaign in digital media especially in social media.

The Social Media Coordinator will support enabling programs to generate and make effective use of social media and others related digital media to help raise awareness of Save the Children’s work, shape attitudes, and help to inspire people to get involved in our cause-helping children in need in Indonesia.

The Social Media Coordinator will implement social media communication campaign strategies that are ambitious and creative and coordinate the delivery of these strategies in a collaborative manner.
