OPERATIONS OFFICER
In order to implement several key objectives, ASEAN established various working group to cater variety of development issues in many areas and one of them is ASEAN Insurance Council (AIC). AIC was first initiated during ASEAN Meeting in Jakarta in 1978 and the initiative was formally approved in 1983 in which AIC officially acquired its formal status.
AIC is envisioned to be the main regional platform for insurance leaders, professionals and practitioners to network and share their knowledge and expertise in various areas of insurance business and to position AIC to be a strong, prestigious, well organized organization to facilitate the cooperation and collaboration for the development of insurance industry in facing 2015 ASEAN Economic Community.
To achieve those objectives, AIC needs a high caliber incumbent to fill one position of Operations Officer who will take a centralrole to support the Executive Director and development in the region by ensuring all office administrative and Secretariat supports are effectively running on daily basis in the proper business manner.
Responsibilities:
The Operations Officer is responsible for effective and efficient delivery of all Operations services to the AIC Secretariat, including Financial, HR, IT, and Administrative. Impact of this role is significant within the Secretariat in terms of business process being improved and simplified. This role must contribute to the overall management and strategic plan of the AIC Secretariat.
Requirements:
- Minimum S1 in related fields
- Minimum 5 years of progressive professional experience in similar position
- Excellent in written and spoken English are must
- Insurance background is preferable
- High level of competencies in handling/ managing the important event from A to Z is desirable
- Some experience in Business Development would be an advantage
- Competence in use of MS Office (PowerPoint) and other office devices
- Able to provide administrative support including respond to all correspondences, drafting letters, memos, taking clear messages, scheduling appointments, and general filling system.
- Trust worthy, self motivated and able to take initiative under minimum supervision, able to work independently to meet the deadline in a small team and multicultural/ International environment
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills
