PLAN International Vacancy: DRR & CCA Specialist, Kupang

Due to organizational new structure,  Plan Indonesia is looking for a dynamic Indonesian national to fill the position of:

DRR & CCA Specialist
(Based in Kupang)

Responsibilities:
  • Support and provide technical assistance on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) & Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) component for Plan Indonesia 
  • Responsible to ensure the quality of DRR & CCA component undertaken to the overall implementation 
  • Ensures that all learning of DRR & CCA project implementation is documented and shared within Plan Indonesia and partners 
  • Responsible for project monitoring and evaluation
  • Develop project implementation and monitoring guidelines and tools
  • Monitor project quality and provide input for improvement inline with the project design
  • Alert Program Unit (PU) technical staff, Program Unit Managers, as to any problems with project quality or variations from strategy
  • Provide technical input to the development of project work plan for each PU
  • Review PU level planning for technical quality
  • Prepare aggregate technical progress reports as required by do
Requirements:
  • A bachelor or master degree in a relevant field
  • At least five years of experience in Specialist (or relate) position 
  • At least 8 years of experience in DRR and CCA
Knowledge and Skill:
  • Strategic planning, monitoring and evaluating skills 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Good English skill both in oral and written communication 
  • Experience in the development of workable guidelines and standards 
  • Knowledge of the Indonesian context would be desirable with relevant field experience

  • Demonstrated facilitation and training experience
