#JAKARTA IFRC Vacancy : Program Support Officer, Flood Resilience (Zurich) Program

The International Federation-Indonesia Delegation is looking for candidate to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia for the post of :

Program Support Officer, Flood Resilience (Zurich) Program
(12 Months Fixed Term contract)
 


Responsibilities and key tasks:
  • Support the DRR Delegate in day to day program management and coordination activities. 
  • Translation/interpretation from Bahasa to English and vice versa.
  • Review financial report from PMI, prepare journal and submit to the budget holder for approval.
  • Follow up with PMI project team the implementation of planned activities.
  • Support the PMI project team in implementation of planned activities.
  • Support the project team in organisation of the field assessment and community activities such as baseline survey, VCA, risk mapping and community planning and meetings.
  • Compile and prepare program report in a timely manner.
  • Undertake field visits and monitor the program activities as advised by the DRR Delegate.
  • Attend external meetings and coordination forums as and when requested by the line manager.
  • Support in preparation of field visits, transport, hotel arrangements, preparation of travel request/order, working advance request, etc.
  • Attending partner’s coordination meeting and preparing minutes of the meeting.
  • Support other program units/managers in the delegation when needed and asked by the line manager.
Qualification & Experience :
  • University degree. 
  • Minimal 2 year experience at the same level or higher.
  • Knowledge of community based programming, disaster risk reduction, disaster preparedness, etc.
  • Knowledge of RCRC movement or some experience as RCRC volunteers or staff.
  • Some experience in translation/interpretation from Bahasa to English and vice versa.
  • Prior experience working with NGOs/INGOs in a multicultural environment.
  • Understanding and skills in relation to facilitating institutional development and organizational change.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa.
