RTI is seeking for SSES Program Assistant for our RTI’s Indonesia Regional Office based in Jakarta.

Job Summary:
devjobs asiaThe overall goal of this position is to technically and administratively assist on-going development and implementation of social policy research initiatives in Indonesia. This position requires a mix of strong coordination, strategic communication and networking capability. Technical and analytical interest and capability would be an advantage. The position also requires good spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia language skills. This position works under the supervision of the Social, Statistical, and Environmental Sciences (SSES) Senior Director (SSD) in Indonesia.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement mechanisms to identify and track research-related business opportunities.
  • Assist the SSD to plan visits for RTI/US senior technical and managerial staff and support their in-country activities.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals in response to business opportunities.
  • Conduct background research on social policy topics and produce reports to summarize findings.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant social policy field, plus 3 to 5 years of professional development experience in social policy program and/or research support, or a Master’s degree plus 1 to 2 years experiences in a relevant field. 
  • Highly organized with strong coordination, inter-personal and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of governmental and non-governmental social sector organizations in Indonesia and proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders in these organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Results-oriented person able to work independently as well as on teams.
