ProRep is looking for a Finance Manager, Jakarta

ProRep (Program Representasi) is a USAID-supported project designed to help civil society organizations (CSOs), public policy research centers and other institutions become more representative, effective and responsive to citizens’ needs. We are currently looking for a Finance Manager and he/she will be employed by Chemonics International.

Main tasks:

  1. Work closely with Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, and Office Manager, and the Chemonics home office PMU and finance department on financial management issues.
  2. Train and manage the work of project bookkeepers.
  3. Ensure the project practices abide by US government generally accepted accounting procedures, USAID procedures, and Indonesian law.
  4. Work with bookkeepers and other project staff to prepare proper financial documentation, and accurately process expenditures for monthly invoicing to USAID.
  5. Liaise with the local bank, reconcile monthly bank statements, and verify all deposits and withdrawals.
  6. Collect and review timesheets and process payroll, tax withholding, Jamsostek and all applicable benefits on a timely basis each month.
  7. Work with tax accountants in managing and monitoring project accounts.
  8. Work closely with Office Manager, and SAF/Grants Managers to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and procedures, and provide guidance as needed in the processing of VAT exemption for the project.
  9. Assist outside auditors (as necessary) at year end.
  10. Fulfill other financial management functions as required.
  11. All other administrative tasks as designated by the Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party, such as preparing and sending the FO wire request to HO and managing ProRep’s monthly budget projection.

Qualifications and Experiences:
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Minimum two years of experience as an administrative assistant or in IT support. 
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office software including Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.  
  • Knowledge of USAID policies, procedures, rules and regulations is an advantage.
Reporting:
The Finance Manager will report directly to the Deputy Chief of Party. He/she will prepare regular oral and written progress reports that demonstrate the status of project financial operations, as well as other reports as required. The Deputy Chief of Party will review the monthly financial reports before they are submitted to the Chief of Party.

As teamwork is crucial to the success of the project, the Finance Manager will be expected to coordinate work with other technical, managerial and administrative ProRep staff, as per direction from the Deputy Chief of Party.
