Be part of a dynamic working environment. We are recruiting Information Technology Officer with a real commitment to gender equality and overcoming poverty. This post will be based in Jayapura, Papua for fixed term contract until March 2015.
The role :
To assist with information technology set up, installation and maintenance across the Papua office also as a Roving IT Support for Indonesia, and as per the requirements of the Country, Programme, Regional Information Support Manager and Information Systems Department. The IT systems in these offices are compatible with regional and corporate requirements and to provide training and up-to-date information to staff to operate new systems and packages where required.
Key Responsibility :
- To ensure daily IT support to Papua office and programme:
- To deal with technical queries on operating systems and software packages as well as problems related to computer or information technology
- To manage and administer the Local Area Network and ensure that the system is running smoothly both in the country and sub offices.
- To supervise and facilitate training on IT for staff
- To provide hands-on support / training whenever required.
- To provide training on E-mail and all software packages and to distribute training materials available from ISD on all corporate systems
The requirements:
- Graduate and professional training on computers (basic hardware and software)
- Up-to-date knowledge and skills on latest developments in the IT systems field.
- Technically competent in a number of IT operating systems
- Experience of IT support in a similar role
- High level of competence in the development and implementation of computerised systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Use of initiative in problem solving and can suggest new ways to improve the work process.
- Can learns and follow Oxfam policies and technical procedures to do the job.
- Takes responsibility for and completes standard tasks with minimal supervision.
