Jhpiego,
an international non-profit health organization affiliate of the Johns Hopkins
University, builds global and local partnerships to enhance the quality of health care services for
women and families around the world. Jhpiego/Indonesia is preparing to begin a
program focused on expanding postpartum family planning (PPFP) services in 11
districts. We are currently recruiting for positions to be based in Jakarta and
in the 11 districts. The positions are:
Clinical Advisor (Jakarta)
- Work with National Clinical Training Network to design training, mentoring and monitoring of training/mentoring system.
- Provide inputs for development or review of National guidelines and promotional materials for PPFP.
- Coordinate closely with stakeholders at BkkbN, MOH, and in provinces/districts
- Provide technical assistance to facility readiness activities including workshops, facility assessments and equipping and reorganizing medical wards.
- Work closely with the Program manager and District Clinical Officers to track uptake of postpartum family planning and results of project activities
- Assist in reporting on and following up clinical service gaps identified in district by District Clinical Officer
- Coordinate and/or represent the project team in professional circles through meetings, conferences, and presentations on PPFP
- Supervise District Clinical Officers
- Submit monthly clinical summary report from district of process, accomplishment and lessons learn.
Qualifications:
- Medical or Public Health educational background, preferably doctor or midwife
- 10-15 years experience providing family planning services; clinical trainer preferred
- Experience writing, collecting, analyzing and contextualizing clinical data and computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English language skills preferred
District Clinical Officer
- Serve as the programs’ primary clinical representative in the district
- Provide technical assistance (mentoring) to providers/health facility in providing PPFP; ensure facility readiness for PPFP
- Ensure trained / mentored providers are able and practicing PPFP
- Perform monthly data collection at facility and district level
- Coordinate mentoring activities in facilities in the district
- Organize, coordinate and provide inputs for bi-weekly or monthly monitoring meeting or supply side activities at district level
- Report monthly documentation of process, accomplishment as well as lessons learned
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and partners in hospital and district
- Perform administrative activities when requested
Workbased : East Jakarta, North Jakarta, Medan, Deli
Serdang, Asahan, Klaten, Cilacap, Brebes, Makassar, Gowa & Bulukumba Districts
Qualifications:
- Medical or Public Health educational background, preferably doctor or midwife
- Background and experience in Family Planning Program, clinical trainer (preferable)
- 3-5 years experience in the labor and delivery room
- Experience writing, collecting, analyzing and contextualizing clinical data and computer skills
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and pressure to perform.
