Chemonics seeks Indonesian
education specialists for an anticipated USAID-funded higher education program
in Indonesia. The program aims to strengthen the capacity of the
Indonesian higher education system by cultivating linkages between U.S.
and Indonesia higher education institutions, building capacity around workforce
development, and increasing applied research in areas including science and
technology. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a
difference in the lives of people around the world.
We seek specialists with
extensive knowledge and experience in one or more of the following technical
areas:
- Education administration: supporting, leading, or developing the capacity of education institutions to operate effectively and efficiently; experience at the higher education level preferred, but not required
- University partnerships: developing and managing relationships between Indonesian universities and regional and international universities or academic bodies.
- Higher education research: leading research at the university level, particularly related to science and technology
- Strategic planning and management: leading strategic planning, development, and implementation activities in large public or private organization and designing and leading capacity building programs to improve management and administration
- Program operations: implementing USAID grants management, project office management, financial management, communication and outreach, training, and monitoring and evaluation
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred
- Minimum five years of relevant experience
- Experience in one or more of the technical areas outlined above
- Experience working with international donors or organizations preferred
- Interest in working with a multicultural, international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Indonesian Bahasa
