Background:
The
Australia Indonesia Partnership for Promoting Rural Income through Support for
Markets in Agriculture (AIP-PRISMA) is an ambitious new rural development
program which aims to contribute to a 30%, or more, increase in net incomes for
1,000,000 poor rural female and male farmers, 300,000 of which will be reached
by June 2017. The project
will work in twenty (20) districts of five (5) provinces in Eastern Indonesia:
East Java, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), West Papua and
Papua.
The role:
The objective of this consultancy is to provide technical assistant to
the AIP-PRISMA Sector Teams on the area specific commodity:
CHILI

MAIZE
|
PEANUTS
|
SHALLOT
|
SOYBEAN
|
TOMATO
|
BEEF
|
This will entail reviewing the Strategy Document and assisting the
Sector-Area team in validating the analysis and the interventions thereof.
Selection criteria:
The
successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
·
Established experience/consultancy history in designing the behavior
change of actors within the specific sector in order to realizing the sectors’
vision of change.
·
Demonstrate strong knowledge on integration of specific sector.
·
Knowledge of international relations issues on specific sector.
·
Experience in market development approach. Experience in M4P would be advantageous
·
Experience with conducting field investigation for market development. Experience in Field Investigation Manuals, or
similar, would be advantageous
·
Proven technical experience in the relevant sector. Experience in the target provinces would be
advantageous.
·
Open minded and people oriented.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and the internet.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and a good working knowledge of English.
