Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP) Vacancy: Program Manager, Makassar

We are looking for a

Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP) is a public-private forum for the advancement of communication and working together between stakeholders actively engaged in cocoa development initiatives in Indonesia. CSP exists to increase communication, coordination and collaboration between public and private stakeholders engaged in cocoa sustainability activities in Indonesia for the mutual benefit of all cocoa sector stakeholders. Members of CSP include the Government of Indonesia (GoI), national and multi-national companies, national and international NGOs, donors, research agencies, certification labels and academics working together towards sustainability of Indonesian cocoa sector. The day to day management of the forum is run by CSP secretariat, based in Makassar.

CSP Secretariat is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the post of Program Manager. This is a full time post and will be based in Makassar.

Purpose of the Position:
The Program Manager will supervise the performance of Knowledge Management and Learning Unit and CSP Task Forces. She or he will ensure that the Unit and Task Forces achieved their targets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise the work of Knowledge Management and Learning unit. The KMLU consists of Publication and Communication Officer and Information Management and Reporting Officer. The KMUL is key to CSP activities since the mandate of CSP is to promote communication and learning among stakeholders in cocoa sectors, the Unit will be responsible to produce publications, information, data and or mapping on best practices and cocoa sustainability activities in Indonesia.
  • Review the materials/reports/article for CSP publications, magazines, websites and social media. Ensure that the content and information provided are accurate and in accordance with CSP standard. 
  • Provide support and facilitate the work of Task Forces so that they can achieve their targets. Monitor progress of the Task Forces based on the approved targets and objectives. Advice the Executive Director on support, facilities, funding needed by the Task Forces in order for them to achieve their targets. 
  • Each year, CSP General Assembly will form and assign Task Forces on issues identified from CSP roadmap or issues that hinder cocoa sustainability implementation in Indonesia. The Task Forces will work on specific target determine by the General Assembly and will report back to the GA quarterly.
  • Ensure that proper line of communication is established between Task Forces and the Executive Director and the General Assembly.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in the following fields: agriculture, rural development studies, social science. 
  • Have maximum 10 years working experience in managing cocoa, agriculture, sustainable supply chain, sustainable development, public-private partnership governance or  related programs
  • Have knowledge on cocoa, agriculture, sustainability public-private partnership in Indonesia.
  • Strong management, communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Have experience working in multi-stakeholder and public private partnership settings for certain commodities will be an advantage.
  • Strong English with ability to write and produce reports in English and Bahasa Indonesia;
