Vacancy with RTI International: Regional Compliance Accountant, Jakarta

RTI International is seeking for highly qualified candidates to fill the Regional Compliance Accountant Position to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Details of the position can be found below.

Position Summary:
The Regional Compliance Accountant is responsible for providing regional compliance monitoring and support to ensure that company resources are managed according to established policy and procedures. The Regional Compliance Accountant will work with home office and regional staff to address and resolve compliance issues.

This position will have a dual reporting relationship both to the Asia Regional Finance Director and to the Manager of International Compliance and Reporting.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.       Perform compliance reviews of international expenses in accordance with the Compliance Supporting Document Matrix and Chart of Account requirements for regional field offices to ensure adherence to RTI policies and procedures.
2.       Provide audit preparation training and support in conjunction with management.
3.       Assist with internal compliance investigations, as requested.
4.       Conduct internal monitoring and auditing, as requested.
5.       Provide assistance in the testing and documentation of the International Internal Control Environment.
6.       Build excellent working relationships with both local and international staff and provide them with support and training.
7.       Adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
8.       Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
 
Required Qualifications:
·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 4 years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
·         Ability to read, write in and speak English effectively is a must
·         Demonstrated experience supporting finance staff
·         Ability to read and speak Bahasa Indonesia
·         Must be detail oriented and highly organized. Able to support and respond to the needs of the field office finance teams as quickly as possible to enable consistent service delivery
·         High standard of personal and professional integrity.
·         Must work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
·         Must exhibit a flexible work attitude: the ability to work productively in a team environment and a matrix organization which requires , as well as independently, and the ability to meet unexpected demands
·         Must possess strong computer skills: ability to work with Microsoft Office product suite, and e-mail/internet software applications
·         Experience in project financed by USAID is an advantage.
