world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and
people.
Currently we are searching for a qualified candidate to fill the position of:
PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT WRITER
The
Proposal Development Writer is responsible for researching, editing and
writing myriad types of philanthropy materials ranging from grant
proposals seeking potential individual, corporate,
and government funding to acknowledgements and marketing materials.
S/he works closely with TNC program staff and fundraisers to identify fundable priority work and grant funding opportunities.
S/he is responsible for writing annual member solicitations, gift acknowledgements and other philanthropy materials as needed.
The Proposal Development Writer also monitors activities of grant
funded programs to ensure compliance with donor’s requests and produces
or coordinates the production of required reports.
S/he may work with grants specialist or administrator to
structure, track and report on grant programs, both public and privately
funded.
The Proposal Development Writer is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and reports to the Director of External Affairs.
Requirements:
- Good understanding on general/popular environmental issues i.e. deforestation, global warming/climate change & carbon emission
- Ability to manipulate, analyze data and interpret data, meets deadlines, organize time, manage diverse activities and use existing technology to achieve desired results
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Strong organization skills, proofreading skills, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Experience in grant writing, researching and editing preferred
- Knowledge of current trends in the specific field
- Experience in interviewing, researching, and compiling information from many sources
- Experience in MS Office, Word, and Excel. Ability to use advanced computer functions including navigating the Internet
