Vacancy: Lead Researcher and Research Assistant, Jakarta

POSITION VACANT 

The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Decentralisation (AIPD) is a five-year program providing technical assistance and capacity building support to local governments and civil society to better manage public resources, leading to improved service delivery and reduced poverty.

The program is seeking qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions:

Lead Researcher (RES-01)
The Lead Researcher will involve from developing the study guideline up to the reporting and results presentation.

This position will be remunerated in line with the Australian Aid’s Adviser Remuneration Framework. It is a Job Level 4, Group D position within that framework.

Research Assistant (RES-02)
The Research Assistant will involve from developing the study guideline up to the reporting and results presentation.

This position will be nationally engaged with competitive rate.

Qualifications for the positions:
  • A post-graduate degree in Social, Political Sciences, Public policy or relevant discipline, PhD is preferred (RES-01). Post-Graduate degree in Social, Political Sciences or Public policy (RES-02); 
  • A minimum of ten years experience in Governance Reforms and Decentralisation with outstanding comprehension and experiences in Indonesia decentralized systems supported with strong theoretical basis and outstanding writing skill (RES-01). Minimum of five years extensive research experience, particularly in conducting field research in Indonesia (RES-02); 
  • Experienced more than ten years as team leader in managing complex program in Indonesia (RES-01). Experienced in conducting qualitative studies and using a variety of research instruments (RES-02).
  • Possessing outstanding writing skill (RES-01).  Proven excellent writing skill especially case studies (RES-02). 
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (RES-01 and RES-02).
