SurfAid International is a nonprofit organization
working for healthy and resilient communities in remote areas connected to us
through surfing. With the head office in Medan, the community programs are
implemented in Mentawai, Nias, Bima and Sumba. SurfAid works closely with the
communities and government to improve communities' capacity on emergency
preparedness and their ability to respond to health issues, including water and
sanitation.
Currently, we are looking for 3 dynamic team players to join us for our program in Mentawai
1.
AREA FIELD MANAGER based in Mentawai, West Sumatra.
Responsible for the implementation of SurfAid’s
program in line with the project plan and to provide the front-line field
management support for Program Manager and provide staff leadership for Health
Promotion Officers.
Minimum requirements :
·
Bachelor degree in Public health/equivalent or at
least 5 years experience on health issue
·
Prior knowledge of community development and
community based projects.
·
Relevant work experience in public health,
sanitation, livelihoods and community development.
·
Strong program implementation and management
skills.
·
Ability to represent the
organization at sub district level
·
Willing to work in remote areas with basic
facilities
·
Capable to ride motorbikes
2. HEALTH PROMOTION OFFICER based in Mentawai, West Sumatra.
Responsible
for the implementation of SurfAid’s program to improve health, well-being of
people living in the target communities.
Minimum requirements:
·
Bachelor degree in Public Health, Community
Development with 2 years of relevant work experience
·
Prior knowledge of health, hygiene, teaching or
community development.
·
Trust and wide acceptance by the community
·
Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skill.
·
Good computer and facilitation skill
·
Willing to work in remote areas with basic
facilities
·
Capable to ride a motorbike
3. NUTRITION CONSULTANT
based in Mentawai, West Sumatra
Responsible for assisting with
the program implementation team in providing technical support to plan and
implement strategies to improve the quality of program which leads to improve
the nutritional status of target communities.
Minimum requirements:
·
Bachelor degree in nutrition or related subject
·
Experience of working in partnership with
government and NGOs
·
Ability to coordinate with different stakeholders
·
Understand team work, partocopatory and result
oriented approach
·
Excellent communication especially in English
written
·
Skill in training and management
