Program Officer Community Mobilisation, Central Highlands Papua
Australian Government funded HIV Cooperation Program for Indonesia
Position based in Jayapura
GRM International in collaboration with the Burnet Institute is the managing contractor for the HIV Cooperation Program for Indonesia (HCPI), the largest
component of the Australia Indonesia Partnership for HIV.
HCPI is seeking applications from suitably
qualified individuals for the position of Program Officer
Community Mobilisation, Central Highlands Papua, based in Jayapura. With support and supervision from the Senior Technical Officer
Community Mobilisation, Central Highlands Papua, the Program Officer Community
Mobilisation, Central Highlands Papua will conduct the following tasks:
- Assist the Senior Technical Officer to support the development and implementation of programs based on the Central Highlands Communication Strategy, with emphasis on advocacy, community mobilisation and behaviour change communication in the general population.
- Under the guidance of the Senior Technical Officer, provide technical assistance and support for HCPI counterparts and grant partners in the central highland districts of Papua.
- Assist in the coordination and monitoring of progress of project activities and project partner performance in the provinces.
- Carry out other duties as directed by the Senior Technical Officer, Adviser Prevention and Health Promotion or their delegate.
Interested candidates for this position should have
the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience in community development/health in Central Highlands Papua;
- Experience in networking, liaison, training, institutional strengthening and monitoring;
- An understanding of community mobilisation
- A capacity to work with both government and non-government sectors;
- Good computer skills;
- Ability to work in Bahasa Indonesia.
