Vacant position for Micro Finance Officer of Yayasan Rumah Energi, Jakarta

Background
Yayasan Rumah Energi (YRE) has entered into an agreement with Hivos to assist in the implementation of the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme, also known as BIRU Programme.  The BIRU Programme aims at the development of the Indonesia domestic biogas sector and build biodigesters at least in 9 province. IDBP or BIRU Programme until 2013 has produce 11,000 bio digesters,, providing access to biogas for 17,725 people.
 The overall objective of the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme is to disseminate domestic bio-digesters as a local and sustainable energy source through the development of a commercial, market oriented sector in selected provinces.
 For this project, Yayasan Rumah Energi is looking for a dynamic Indonesians national to fill the following positions:
 
MICRO Finance OFFICER JAKARTA (MFO JAKARTA)

Responsibilities & tasks
The main responsibilities of the Micro Finance Officer are:
  • Cooperate with Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme teams in explaining the benefits of the programme and the potential role of and benefits for the in the programme
  • Manage all workflow within YRE related to the relevant banks, MFIs and/or programmes such as FACET & BSM and Rabo bank Foundation  and coordinate the procedures as necessary to expedite the funding of loans from the Micro Finance Institutions
  • Kick-starts, directs and manages YRE's relationship with Kiva and the requirements and tasks associated with the partnership
  • Assist the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme and associates in meeting with potential Micro Finance actors and ensure follow-up as deemed necessary by the programme
  • Provide recommendations on a regular basis to YRE management, Micro Finance Institutions, government and/or other stakeholders with regard to the provision and establishment of Micro-Finance services for biogas users
  • Support Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme and the Micro Finance Institutions in collecting documents of potential LPOs (Lending Partner Organizations) and its follow up. 
  • Be actively involved in finding MF solutions and provide MF-related services contributing to the success of the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme and enhanced access to micro-finance by biogas users
  • Identify, in cooperation with regional Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme teams, MFIs or other financial institutions which have potential as Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme Lending Partner Organization
  • Meet with Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme staff, partners and potential Lending Partner Organizations and discuss credit options
  • Study the credit component of the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme and other relevant documentation.
  • Follow up the process of engagement with potential LPOs until the organization is a full partner and, where needed and/or possible, has a credit mechanism in place
  • Provide additional services as requested
Requirements
1.      Minimum S-1 Economy/Accounting
2.      Minimum 5 years work experience, preferably in similar industry
3.      Minimum 3 years experience in similar position/responsibility
4.      Active English (written and verbal)
5.      Knowledge on domestic biogas will be an advantage
6.      Physical fitness to travel throughout the country
7.      Good understanding of Indonesian micro-finance environment
8.      Proven experience in doing MFI assessments
9.      Good communication and presentation skills
10.  Computer literate
11.  Willingness and availability to travel frequently
