practically minded business, community planning, conservation, and finance
specialists committed to the design of effective solutions to positively address
economic, social and environmental concerns with regard to management of
natural resources in the Asia Pacific and across the globe. Our work focuses on the policy,

Overall
Description of Position: MSR
is seeking a business and/or policy analyst in its Bali, Indonesia office. The focus of this appointment will be to support
our management and project staff on various assignments including research,
writing, formatting, planning, implementation, and administration related to
MSR project and office management.
Key
Responsibilities: The Analyst’s duties are expected to
include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Conducting research in both English and Bahasa Indonesia in areas of natural resource managementpolicies, practices, industries and impacts; financing, conservation, management and other practices critical to effective resource management and climate change solutions
- General project data collection and analysis
- Formatting, editing and contributing to literature reviews, business plans, issue briefs, reports, papers, and notes for internal and external use
- Support coordination of activities among staff members and partners
- Support project managers in organizing and implementing project activities, such as stakeholder meetings and interviews, capacity development administration, presentations, and other activities that may vary from project to project
- Support project and office administration as needed
Qualifications:
- Indonesian nationality
- A Bachelor’s degree with a focus relating to any of: business, policy, economics, resource management, conservation or finance
- Two years of related professional experience or an advanced degree in a related field
- Research, analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficient (both speaking and writing) in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision
- Willingness/ability to live in Bali and travel to various areas of Indonesia and SE Asia
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong team player
Experience and passion for sustainable
development, natural resource management or conservation is a plus. Regular travel
throughout SE Asia may be required. MSR provides an egalitarian and collegiate

TERM:
Minimum 12 month contract (renewable upon performance and mutual
agreement).
