Due to a delay of institutional implementation the
Biodiversity and Climate Change Project (BIOCLIME) of the Indonesian Ministry
of Forestry, supported by the German International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf
of the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and
Nuclear Safety (BMUB) seeks again qualified Indonesian experts for the
following positions:
Senior Advisor on
Capacity building and public relation management
in the fields of management of forest-eco systems,
biodiversity, climate change, carbon accounting and participatory planning
Based
in Palembang, South Sumatra
Responsibilities:
- Advise to national, provincial and local professional education and training institutions on development and implementation of training concepts for communities, district and province government institutions on management and monitoring of forest eco-systems, biodiversity and carbon stocks.
- Support the development and implementation of a Capacity Building Strategy based on participatory principles.
- Support the participatory planning- and decision making processes for the selection and management of protected areas.
- Development and sustainable implementation of a Knowledge Management System for project related activities and results.
- Preparation of information on activities and results of the project for target groups and a wider public.
Qualification:
- Masters/MSc in the fields of social science, communication, education or forestry.
- Minimum of 10 years professional working experience as a teacher/trainer for capacity building, participatory learning and curriculum development. Excellent knowledge of the Indonesian professional education and capacity building sector
- Experience in

developing training contents in the
field
o
cooperation with capacity building
institutions and capacity building at community level
o
Public Relation Management.
- Good written and spoken English skills
