population.
Shujog is the Bengali word for opportunity.
And facilitating opportunity is at the heart of all the programs Shujog leads.

of social enterprises. Shujog is in a growth phase and is looking for talented
and hard-working individuals with relevant skills. Shujog manages interesting

The project
Despite the positive growth of SEs in Asia,
the impact investing market still lacks frameworks for cohesive analysis of
capital allocation and impact that permit comparison with traditional investing
and the performance of donor and tax-funded initiatives. Investment decisions
are made based on idiosyncratic analyses of impact, risk and appropriate
financial returns.
In an effort to address some of these
challenges, Shujog is partnering with a US-based organization that develops
proprietary classification tools to describe economic systems, including a
systems-based model that provides the tools to explain the integrated
operations of 21st century companies that make up the modern global economy.
The research will frame a structure for comparison of energy companies’ financial
performance and impact, improve the classification of energy companies, and facilitate
integrated analysis of energy companies. The project will also enhance
comparison of traditional private companies and donor and tax-funded projects.
The project will organize data on actors in the renewable energy sector in
Indonesia in a database that can be queried for specific entities, functions
and categories.
