Outreach Program Coordinator, Balispirit Festival


The Balispirit Festival is seeking an experience program coordinator to runs its outreach programs. The BaliSpirit Festival is an annual festival of yoga, dance, and music established as a seminal model for sustainable tourism in Bali. Through its Karma (Giving Back) programs, the BaliSpirit Festival raises money for education and outreach programs, which include:


1. AYO! Kita Bicara HIV & AIDS (Established 2010): An education program dedicated to combating the growing epidemic of HIV/AIDS among young people in Bali through interactive workshops, annual awareness concerts, public service announcements, and social media campaigns.

2. Bali ReGreen (Established 2011): A reforestation program launched together with the Environmental Bamboo Foundation to support community development and reforestation in regions of Bali ecologically and economically compromised by desertification: a lack of sufficient ground water.


Skills, Qualifications & Experience we are looking for:
  • Relevant Degree (Diploma 3. minimum) or demonstrated experience working in a non-government or community organisation
  • Minimum 3 years experience in related field
  • Proven ability to problem solve
  • Willing to take on a variety of jobs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English but not essential

Your responsibilities will be to:
1. Coordinate the Outreach Program of Ayo! Kita Bicara HIV & AIDS & Bali Re-Green, including :
  • Developing and implementing the outreach programs
  • Timeline/ Scheduling for each program, including coordination of field staff
  • Developing and submitting program proposals to potential sponsors and funding bodies for outreach work
  • Maintain relations and communication with existing sponsors/donors
  • Monitoring the program outcomes and reporting to management and donors
  • Managing each program’s budgeting including reporting
  • Set up systems for the application of the program in the field, maintain these systems
  • Meet with government in relation to education/ outreach work
  • Assist in field activities at times of education/ outreach events 
  • Point Person within Balispirit for the Outreach Programs
  • Coordination and networking with other HIV/AIDS advocacy and outreach groups in Bali
  • Oversee development and production of training materials and education kits for AYO! program
2. Government
  • Supervise communications with the Government
  • Assist in lobbying the government in relation to police permits, immigration, funding and other issues 
  • Follow up on assistance requests to the government as well as event applications for the government at the festival (Opening Night)
