Conservation International, an international non-governmental organization, is seeking to fill the position of Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator/Event Organizer to be based in Medan.
The
Sustainable Landscapes Partnership (SLP) program will establish a
replicable model of public-private partnerships that foster low carbon
development opportunities, thereby helping to address global climate
change and contribute to economic growth.
The
Regional Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator/Event
Organizer will be responsible for capturing the whole project
implementation under key components of SLP work plans in Madina and
TapSel Districts. This position will ensure that the methods, approach
and data collected are sufficient and practical with the time frame
allocated
Responsibilities:
1.Articulate the actual M&E framework and baseline assessment components
•Together
with the M&E Specialist assist in the tracking of performance
monitoring against indicators, annual milestones and end of Project
targets for the SLP Terrestrial Program;
•Analyze logic models and illustrate linkages between the components: inputs, processes, outputs, outcomes, and impacts;
•In
accordance with the SLP PMP indicators and targets, help establish a
baseline database for tracking future progress against stated targets
for biodiversity, livelihoods, etc. including standardized methodology
and instruments;
•Assist to develop a training manual on the M&E framework and train the SLP district M&E Officer’s team to implement it.
2. Establish,
implement, evaluate, and adjust a SLP terrestrial program monitoring
and evaluation plan together with CII and its partners
•Together
with the M&E Specialist develop a plan for simultaneously tracking
CI institutional indicators together with those for the USAID Program
Management Plan (PMP) including a results monitoring framework and
description of data sources required for reporting progress, data
collection methods; approach to ensuring data quality and survey plans;
•Preparing,
reporting and analyzing results (both qualitative and quantitative
methods) using a range of survey instruments spanning SLP thematic
elements;
•Work with SLP technical leads to ensure timely and adequate data collection on indicators on a quarterly basis;
•Format
and process data for use in reporting to USAID (which should include
monthly or quarterly progress reporting and annual review);
•Schedule Timing and methodologies for external reviews, evaluations and impact assessments;
•Build
on and support the partners and Governments of Mandailing Natal/TapSel
to develop and improve their own monitoring and evaluation capacity as
far as possible;
•Ensure that all project interventions are based on and consistent with international and national protocols/standards;
•Develop
lessons, research and recommendations that will contribute to future
SLP monitoring and evaluation and program implementation strategies;
3. Coordinate events organizing and communication under SLP project component in Sumatra
•Coordinate
and communicate with all SLP project team leader on thematic meeting
planned in 2014 such as workshops, seminar, training, FGD, etc.
•Support in meeting preparation, writing TOR, invitation letter, meeting venue, resource person and logistic support.
•Support technical meeting such as master of ceremony, minute taker, working groups, etc.
•Support trivia during and after the workshop and play the role as trouble shooter.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor
Degree (S1 or higher) in education, management, information technology,
agribusiness or rural development field with demonstrated technical
support in carrying out high quality data collection, analysis and/or
value chain support with 3 years’ experience;
• Experience with capacity building in technical applications of M&E for program staff and stakeholders;
• Proven track record in obtaining, analyzing and reporting on project/program results for donors, and a broader audience;
• Ability to spend between 50-60% in SLP program locations so as to ensure progress against deliverable;
• Experienced
with donor reporting and developing systems to capture data that can be
reflected in accurate and well written reports;
• Excellent communication skills both in English and Bahasa Indonesia (reading, writing, oral and presentation);
• Ability to delivering presentations; interpreting and presenting information to suit the target audience
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders from local and national governments to the private sector
• The
preferred candidate will be self-motivated, team-oriented and able to
meet project deadlines often under difficult circumstances.
