the Children is an international non-profit organization that focuses
on the fulfillment of children’s right. Save the Children was first
established in May 1919 in the U.K. and
to date has 28 Save the Children Offices and operations in more than
120 countries worldwide. In 1976, Save the Children signed an MoU with
the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, followed
then by the operations of Save the Children throughout
Indonesia. Currently, Save the Children work in 11 provinces with a
variety of program areas, such as: Education, Health and Sanitation,
Livelihood, Child Protection also Disaster Risk Reduction.
SEMUA
is Save the Children’s comprehensive program to improve health and
survival of children under five in Indonesia. SEMUA aims to
contribute to
the
acceleration of
achieving
MDG 4 and 5 by strengthening government systems and policies,
and by
empowering
communities to demand quality health services.
SEMUA
will achieve its goal through; 1) high impact programmatic
interventions that are later scaled up, 2) targeted advocacy to
influence policy
at the district, provincial and national level, 3) popular mobilization
to build goals through implementation of individual health, and 4)
generation of resources to support program implementation.
Now we are opening vacancy as:
PROJECT ASSISTANT - SEMUA,
to be based in Jakarta Country Office, 1 position
CODE : PA-SEMUA
Reports to: Communications and Advocacy Manager
Dimensions:
The purpose of this position is to work as part of the Communications
and Advocacy
team to ensure implementation of SEMUA advocacy and campaign
objectives. This will include ensuring all program activities are
implemented according to plan and at a high level quality, all
communications are completed in a timely and accurate manner;
coordination
with key external stakeholders; all child safeguarding controls are
enforced; and financial and administrative management adheres to Save
the Children and donor policies, regulations, and good practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist and facilitate in meetings and events related to Save the Children’s campaign and advocacy work
·
Assist team to develop report by providing data and documentation including human interest story
·
Handle administration, logistics and financial tasks related to implementation of activities
·
Support in organizing events, including coordination with government and NGO partners, preparing invitations etc.
·
Work with the
Communications Coordinator in producing project documentations and
promotional materials for use during external/public events
·
Work with
Communications Coordinator in ensuring proper display of SC promotional
materials at the events, attend booth, propose creative ideas and
coordinate activities
at the booth so as to attract people to the booth.
·
Support for final documentation/filing of the promotional materials in Jakarta office
QUALIFICATION
·
Diploma 3 or equivalent in a relevant field
·
Experience in
health programs or campaigns, working for and with the government of
Indonesia at the national, provincial and district levels, community
level, and working
with an international NGO environment will be an advantage
·
Strong communication skills both verbal and written in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment
- Knowledge of children’s issues in Indonesian context
- Experience in using online communications such as social media and websites for communication and outreach purposes
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Computer literate
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
