Vacancy: Alumni Specialist PRESTASI II, Jakarta

The Indonesian International Education Foundation (“IIEF”) is an Indonesian not-for-profit organization specializing in scholarship management and international education through the administration of international language tests and national professional certifications, and the management of numerous programs sponsored by various major international donor and funding organizations. IIEF (http://www.iief.or.id) is a local partner organization of the Institute of International Education (“IIE”), one of the world’s largest and most experienced international education and professional exchange organizations, based in New York (http://www.iie.org).

IIEF is seeking candidates for an Alumni Specialist position for the Program to Extend Scholarship and Training to Achieve Sustainable Impact Phase Two (PRESTASI II)  funded by USAID.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS
  • Provide supporting for alumni association to develop and expand the alumni program, which may include follow-up workshops, supporting local community, service activities, refresher leadership and technical skills training, guided networking (among participants, GOI counterparts, individuals from private and public institutions). 
  • Provide supporting and technical assistant to structure opportunities for alumni to transfer skills and otherwise advancing the utilization and effectiveness of the training provided with the objective of strengthening and sustaining post training gains.
  • Provide supporting and technical assistance for alumni association to develop a program plan and facilitate networking among alumni and with other groups trained under project and/or trained by other donor organizations.
  • Providing technical assistance and mentoring to local organizations and liaising with employers, affiliated institutions, and training providers to maximize post training outcomes.
  • Providing technical assistance to help facilitate and integrate the participant back into the workplace smoothly.
  • Providing flexible support and follow-up to address unforeseen development needs or to support the integration of new technical skills, knowledge, attitudes, technology, and leadership behaviors into the work place.
  • Develop and implements the Post Training Program Support and Follow-up Activities through the Alumni Association as well as supervise the alumni association board.
  • Review the alumni’s program proposal and budget and monitor progress of program implementation. 
  • Close coordination with alumni association board for program communications, including provide technical assistant for publication material of alumni activities.
  • Oversees, update and maintains the alumni database.
  • Maintains financial and administrative records for program activities.
  • Close coordination with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) division to review the achievement and measure the impact of post training program and follow up activities. 
  • Conduct studies and research to evaluate and assess the quality of the program's results.
  • Assists with the planning and coordination of special events for program.
  • Attends professional meetings and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or Master’s Degree is an advantage. 
  • A minimum of seven years of related experience in development program and scholarship program, including employment with a non-profit organization with a proven track record of success.
  • Be able to work with diverse groups and engage in interpersonal contact with a wide variety of internal and external constituencies and have excellent people skill.
  • Have a strong leadership, initiative and creative person.
  • Have a strong knowledge in program and finance management with minimum three years experiences related with those matters.
  • Have a good networking with related stakeholders which included but not limited to GOI, universities, local and international NGOs/CSOs, think thank organization, media and private sector.
  • Excellent time management skills and have ability to be flexible in working hours and days. 
  • Possess alumni association experience will be an advantage. 
  • Strong written communications skills, with particular emphasis and experience in news writing and persuasive writing. 
  • Strong oral communication skills, including demonstrated experience in public speaking.
  • Familiar with social media tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively  in oral and written communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Experience with multimedia presentations, especially PowerPoint.
