Marketing & Communication Consultant
British Council Indonesia

Expressions
of interest are invited for a high level marketing and communications
consultancy at the British Council Indonesia.
Context
As
part of its expansion of operations in Indonesia, British Council is seeking to
undertake a review of its current and potential marketing and communications
strategy. The role also needs to ensure short term maternity leave cover and
therefore is a demanding, full time role of both strategic and operational
priority.
The
outcomes of this four month full
time consultancy are:
- A full assessment of our current brand and profile for Partnerships in Indonesia, simultaneously defining our opportunities according to:
- Sector activity: Education, English and the Arts;
- Audiences: socio-economic; age groups; regions;
- Potential partners in the corporate, foundation and state sectors.
- The design of, working to corporate standards and in cooperation with BC Indonesia directorate, a compelling brand profile (something around methodology of branding/media engagement etc. for all our activity) for all our work in Indonesia
- Updating of our country external and internal communications strategies;
- To lead on the communications material development for the roll-out of our new internet platform which will take place at the end of this year;
- Working in close association with our UK partners in Indonesia, BritCham and British Embassy Jakarta, compilation of and commentary on a review of all current, salient market research data;
- Measurement of our overall brand equity and current perceptions of British Council in Indonesia;
- Define personas of target audiences for each SBU and research best comms channels to reach these audiences;
- Maintain and build partnerships with media companies;
- Working with new Comms manager and programme managers to ensure optimal press and media coverage of our events (during maternity leave of Head Marcomms);
- Advising BC Indonesia country directorate on Marcomms team design as well as roles and deliverables;
- Management of MarComms team and budget to corporate standards.
While
precise working hours and office presence can be proposed, the nature of the
consultancy is full time and intensive. We are looking for dynamic, highly
articulate team player/s, proficient in the English language, who can
demonstrate a strong track record in the above areas. We are aiming to commence
this key project late October 2103.
Person specifications:
- In depth knowledge of branding, marketing and media context for the creative and educational sectors;
- Dynamic communications leader with demonstrable experience of multi stakeholder, high pressure environments;
- Track record of working with cooperates and demonstrable understanding of the corporate CSR context in Indonesia;
- Strong experience of digital branding and communication campaigns
- Recognized marketing qualifications preferred;
- Excellent English and Indonesian communication skills
