The University of Indonesia, supported by Indonesian Ministry of
Planning (BAPPENAS) and Columbia University established the Center on
Child Protection at the University of Indonesia in December 2009 to
contribute to the systematization and professionalizing of the child
protection in Indonesia. The Center is comprised of a group of
interdisciplinary, cross-institutional faculty and research associates
committed to promoting sustainable solutions to complex problems
affecting children, their families, and communities.
The Center on Child Protection pursues its goals through three inter-related sets of activities: Research to support systems development, evidenced-based programming and policy change; Training to build the capacity of government officials and civil society practitioners; and Curriculum Support to design a skills-based concentration that prepares future generations of individuals dedicated to improving the well-being of children in Indonesia and beyond.
The Center is currently looking for a full time Secretary with the following terms of references:
I. Organizational context and scope
Under direct supervision of the Head of Program of the Center on Child Protection of the Faculty of Social and Political Science University of Indonesia, the incumbent will be responsible for conducting secretarial activities for the Center's related programs, projects and activities.
The incumbent will be working with a team of national and expatriates, governmental institutions, local and international partners and organizations, suppliers, vendors.
II. Responsibilities and Accountabilities

II. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Prepare and draft letters and other administrative documents, including administrative documents for logistical arrangements and support for the Center's office and program related activities such as research, training and seminars
- Maintain and register relevant administrative data in the project's administration system.
- Maintain records and proper filing of all administrative documents, ensuring that an efficient filling system is kept.
- Draft Minutes of Meetings under the guidance and supervision of the Head of Program
- Actively share relevant communication to other team members or relevant stakeholders in relation to logistical issues
- Monitors own work to correct errors
III. Qualification and Competencies
- Male or Female with secretarial degree or equivalent or DIII in office administration from reputable universities/academies preferable. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. - Certificate in computer application (word, excel, powerpoint) preferable
- Good command of written and spoken English, preferably proven with an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent. TOEFL prediction scores are acceptable
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented, organized and strong time management skill
- Excellent personal and communication skills. Certificate in good ethics and personality preferable.
- Able to work in and have respect to a plural working environment
