The British Council in Indonesia is recruiting for the post of : Executive Assistant East Asia Education (Officer) 1 (one) position, Jakarta - Minimum IDR 5,360,000 gross monthly salary and excellent benefits, for a fixed period of 1 year (renewable)
To support the work of the British Council Regional Education Team and Indonesia Senior Managers through offices systems and services which allow all staff to operate effectively.
The Regional Education Team is led from Indonesia and a second UK appointed post will be based there from July 2013. The regional education team’s work is managed out of Indonesia, supporting education teams in14 counties in an extremely diverse region, ranging from developed markets with sophisticated infrastructures and partners (Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Korea & Taiwan) to developing markets with fledgling but growing infrastructure (Burma, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand & Vietnam).
The Indonesia office is Jakarta has expanded this year to take on higher level staff to support Indonesia’s growing importance and expanded programmes in Education, English and the Arts which also requires a new parallel status.
The job is an administrative post to support the regional education team and other senior staff in Indonesia.
Altogether the post will support 6 UK based non-programme staff (Regional Education Director, Country Director, Regional Education Manager, Director Programmes Indonesia, Director English Indonesia and Director EES); plus other colleagues not supported by programme level operational staff.

Administrative support

Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
Administrative support
- Preparation of POs, invoices, processing of payment, and general Finance support
- SAP Admin such as raising Purchase Orders.
- Logistics for regional meetings and training, including arranging formalities for visas and production of materials for meetings or training courses.
- Travel arrangements and meeting schedules
- Administering accommodation, immigration formalities and operational expenses for UK-appointed staff
- Administering travel claims in some cases
- Keep up to date records of regional education teams, regional education budget profile and spend, UK-ASEAN programme tracking,
- Manage content for regional SBU website
- Act as central communication contact for education enquiries in East Asia
- Any other duties as assigned
The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in English and education services.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Indonesian.
- Competence in use of MS Office.
- Possession of a bachelor degree (S1).
- Professionalism in outlook, approach to work and appearance.
