Established in 1888 Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) is one of Germany’s
longest established and largest social welfare organisations. ASB entered Indonesia following the May 2006 earthquake and has established projects in emergency relief; reconstruction and training; information and outreach; disaster preparedness and livelihoods sectors. ASB is a key player in disaster risk reduction education and a regional leader in providing innovative DRR services and solutions to people with disabilities.
ASB is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and committed individuals for the following position:
Project Research Assistant (entry position)
Location:Yogyakarta, Indonesia (with travel to project other areas: Klaten, Ciamis, and Mentawai Islands)
Duration: 12 months initial contract (including 3 months probation period)
Start: Immediate

- Proven skill in using data storage and analysis software, especially: SPSS and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in organising workshop, meetings or training at sub-national and/or national level.
- Experience in field action-research is preferrable
- Knowledge on DRR and disability/inclusion is an advantage.
- Efficiency, flexibility, respect for diversity, creative thinking, and punctual.
