Advisor WASH Sanitation Engineer

We are seeking for a dynamic and highly qualified national candidate to fill the post of Advsior WASH Sanitation Engineer to lead the engineering aspects of SNV's small town and rural sanitation projects in Lampung and West Sumatera provinces.

We are seeking for a dynamic and highly qualified national candidate to fill the post of Advsior WASH Sanitation Engineer to lead the engineering aspects of SNV's small town and rural sanitation projects in Lampung and West Sumatera provinces.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall implementation of the programme and ensure quality of deliverables
- Manage relations with provincial partners and clients, oversee relations with clients and partners at town level
- Ensure coordination and alignment of the programme with related activities in the province
- Provide advisory services on governance and treatment components
- Monitor the quality of work of external consultants
- Support timely and quality monitoring reporting of the programme following SNV standards
- Support knowledge management and learning to partners
- Ensure coherence and contribute to the regional sanitation programme
Candidate profile
- Degree in civil engineering or urban planning
- At least 5 (five) years of relevant experience in WASH, preferably in urban and small town sanitation or related areas with strong focus on planning, regulation and technical matters
- Practical knowledge and experience with smaller town, non-conventional sanitation systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Excellent team player and facilitation skills
- Open minded and positive attitude to learning
Duty station: Lampung Province with frequent travel to the project locations in both Lampung and West Sumatera
Contract duration: SNV Indonesia offers a one year contract with a compeitive salary package and the possibility of extension.
Desired start date: July, 2013
