BACKGROUND TO THE ROLE
KARINA (Caritas Indonesia) is the humanitarian arm of the Bishops’ Conference of Indonesia based in Central Jakarta and is officially considered as a member of the Caritas
Internationalist confederation. Karina is established in 2006 with focus on disaster management issue which is translated into 4 programs, namely DRR, Diocesan Accompaniment, Promotion and Identity, and Capacity Building for Emergency Response designed for 2011-2013 period. KARINA (Caritas Indonesia) acts as a coordinating and facilitating body for all the 37 Dioceses incorporated under the Bishops’ Conference of Indonesia
CMLP(Community Managed Livelihood Promotion) is part of Karina’s DRR unit. This projectis responsible for facilitation of Diocesan caritas to implement the role and function in CMLPproject.facilitations role played by this CMLP projectwill cover technical assistance, CMLP capacity building, exchanging practice based learning and experiences, building Community Managed livelihood promotionpractitioner and facilitation cooperation between Diocesan Caritas and Caritas Austria in Indonesian livelihood sector.

TASKS/DUTIES
A. In Charge of CMLP Projects..
- Provide technical support, coaching/mentoring to diocesan Caritas related with livelihood project.
- Improve the knowledge and skill of diocesan caritas staff.
- Provide necessary feedbacks to the trainers during conduction of technical training at field level
- Monitor progress of program implementation and conduct evaluation toward program’s effectiveness and efficiency.
- Write report on monitoring and evaluation result and distribute it to stakeholders.
- Improve program implementation based on monitoring and evaluation result.
- Prepare monthly reports, quarterly reports, outlining activities progress in the respective area be submitted to Coordinator
- If necessary, conduct other tasks required within the scope of KARINA
B. In charge of CMLPbudget.
- Monitor the progress of CMLPProject implementation and budget
- Coordinate with Project Finance Officer, Diocesan Caritas to obtain budget analysis/financial plan and to obtain information of progress budget analysis & financial report.
C. Focus person for CMLP.
- Ready to deploy to livelihoodareas as a representative of Karina KWI
- Involve in coordination meetings regarding livelihood with Diocesan Caritas.
- Facilitate sharing of information, lessons learned, and experiences for staff and Diocesan Caritas institutions.

- Transparent (have to appropriate with what had been spent and had been accepted, also show supportive evidence).
- Write Back to Office Report (to be circulated internally by Communication Officer) after attending meetings/conferences/workshops/trainings/events/site visits to project location with project partners and/or donors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years experience in CMDRR and / Livelihoods in community development
- At least 3 years experience in rubber cultivation agro forestry systems
- Experience in provision of technical support to sustainable livelihoods, particularly in west Kalimantan or an area with similar context and agricultural systems
- At least 3 years experience working with local partners on programmatic and organizational development
- Experience in working within consortiums highly desirable
- Experience in organizational development highly desirable
- Skills in advisory support to partners, whilst managing partner accompaniment of projects project
- Excellent skills in planning, activity implementation, networking and documentation and reporting
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Experience in strategic planning approaches – including, needs assessment and project design, logical framework development, selecting indicators, implementing monitoring plans, coordinating evaluations and data analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of issues related to development and humanitarian programming especially for Emergency Response.
- Experience in sponsorship organization.
- Knowledge of Project Cycle Management (not only theoretically, but also experienced in the reality);
- Demonstrated diplomacy in building relationships and working with diverse cultures and beneficiairies and sensitive situations and subject matter.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Sensitivity to gender issues.
- Computer proficiency in general office software applications (i.e. MS Office).
- Computer proficiency including deep knowledge of and practice in statistical and data management packages.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English.
