Program Summary:
Mercy Corps is implementing a three-year program to support the successful integration of IDPs in Maluku – Aid to Uprooted People (AtUP) / Matasiri. The overall objective of this action is to empower ex-IDPs to integrate into scure, productive, and just communities, supporting sustainable peace and development in Maluku. This will bring conflict-affected households that have been left behind into mainstream development and into greater participation within their communities. The specific objective for this action is to improve access to economic opportunities, water and sanitation facilities, health care, and governance in IDP communities. This is expected to result in: economically sustainable, market-driven livelihoods for IDPs; improved water, sanitation, and health care in IDP communities; and greater social integration of IDPs, including greater capacity for resolution of land issues.

1. Deputy Program Manager
The Deputy Program Manager will support Program Manager in all aspects of program implementation for AtUP/Matasiri with communities in Maluku.
Responsibilities include: rigorous planning, design, monitoring and evaluation, staff supervision, budget management, donor relations, report writing and overseeing all elements of program implementation. Close engagement, partnership and capacity building with local government, local NGOs, private sector and community partners are critical. The Deputy Program Manager will assist with the leadership and mentoring to the AtUP/Matasiri team provides recommendations for staff development. He/She will actively participate in all management meetings for strategic planning of the program. He/She will also spend considerable time at project sites to monitor program quality and compliance.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
- 5 – 7 years of field-based experience in staff management and project implementation;
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in economic development, governance and /or peace-building, including understanding of international norms and frameworks, prominent actors, best practices;
- BA/S or equivalent in social science, management, international development or similar degree;
- Fluency in English, written and spoken, essential.
