Founded in 1987, RutgersWPF is aimed at improving reproductive health and ensuring
reproductive rights in developing countries. RutgersWPF has implemented projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In 2005, RutgersWPFIndonesia established a field office in
Jakarta, Indonesia in order to more effectively manage and expand its current portfolio. RutgersWPF’s Country Strategy in Indonesia focuses on improving sexuality and reproductive health services and information for young people and decreasing gender based
violence.
RutgersWPF Indonesia manages program of Adult Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (ASRHR) and Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) programs in various provinces in Indonesia. In cooperation with various local NGO partners, this program aims (1) to provide ASRHR services for young people such as adequate information on ASRHR issues, including enhancing capacity buildingfor teachers and parents; (2) to provide intervention program to prevent gender based violence with local NGO partners, and (3) to mobilize advocacy program to influence decision makers to support SRHR education and SGBV programs and provide adequate budget for that.RutgersWPF and partners established AliansiSatuVisi to enhance partners capacity and strengthening SRHR network.
Due to this project development, we are now seeking outstanding candidate talents to fill the following positions at our Jakarta Office:
PROGRAM MANAGER (Code PM)
Task and Responsibilities
The PM will be responsible to manage projects in partnership with NGOs, to make sure the projects are implemented in accordance to the agreement. For this purpose, PM will have to provide managerial and technical assistance to partners. S/he will also represent the project with local level stakeholders in program implementation areas. S/he is expected to travel regularly to the project areas. The Project Manager is also expected to perform other duties to represent RutgersWPF as requested by the Country Representative. S/he will produce timely and high-quality draft programmatic reports and other required documents, and coordinate the submission of project-level financial reports.

Core Tasks:
- Provide leadership in project cycle development: to ensure achievement of the project’s objectives in accordance with the approved project design.
- Through regular communication and collaboration with key partners and external stakeholders, ensure detailed implementation plan is established and implemented to meet desired project results.
- Lead the development of an advocacy strategy and the implementation of relevant advocacy activities at the national and local levels.
- Coordination with partners to ensure the submission of all necessary reports and other monitoring documents in a timely manner.
- Ensure project financial resources are effectively and efficiently managed according to approved project budget, donor requirements and regulations. In cooperation with the PM Coordinator and partners to conduct financial planning and request budget realignment when necessary.
- Contribute substantial content on Sexual & Reproductive Health, Gender & Youth Health Issues in the overall program in Indonesia and globally by being active in internal and external meetings.
Requirements:
- A minimum 5 years experiences in managing development programs, preferably with international NGOs, and at least 5 years in the areas of Sexuality, Reproductive Health andGender; experience in Youth Health Issues would be an advantage.
- Proven skills to effectively build and manage a team.
- Proven track record of successful project management
- Proven ability to manage financial resources according to donor and organization regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully advocating for policy change
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents in Bahasa and English
- Proven ability to lead a multi-cultural team
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
